These stunning mantas or throws are crafted by women weavers in a small village located on the shores of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.
The white cotton is grown on the mountains around the lake and hand-spun carefully. The elegant and subtile indigo stripes are made using a Guatemalan ikat technique called jaspe.
The women weavers strive to continue the age-old technique that has been passed down through many generations.
Mantas make great blankets, bed throws and also picnic blankets.
It takes around 3 weeks to weave one manta wich will last forever.
